God first. Others second. Me third. It's not just a fancy tagline - it's a way of life. A lifestyle that we have embraced and made a part of the fabric of what we do. Check out what you can do to get involved.
The Third Project started as a brand name for our involvement in a tiny community in southern Swaziland, the country with the highest per-capita HIV infection rate in the world. Through a partnership with Children's HopeChest, we challenge our students every week to make a difference in the lives of a community of people who have no clean water, no consistent food supply, no access to medical care, and no hope beyond today. In less than 3 years, our middle and high school students have raised over $70,000 to help lift this community out of despair and into renewed hope.
Expanding beyond our involvement in Swaziland, we want young people to learn how to make the Third Project a lifestyle - something that's both local and global, immediate and distant, present and future. While it's biblical and healthy for us to be involved in Swaziland with the poor and infirmed, it's also just as pressing for us to get involved with those in our own backyard.
