At WVC, missions is just one way that we express the grace of God to others - across the street or across the world. Mission trips are one of the best ways to catalyze growth in your relationship with Christ. So check out the options for our trips, download an application, and get started!
Salt Lake City | Summer 2012
This trip is geared towards serving the community of Salt Lake City, allowing our acts of service to bring a message of grace and hope to a desperate community. It's a great introduction to short-term missions and will help students gain an understanding of cultures and perspectives that differ from their own. We will partner with the Utah Dream Center for the fourth year in a row to minister to the neighborhood in the surrounding area. 117 different languages are spoken in this neighborhood , which consists primarily of refugees, immigrants, and low-income residents. Throughout this week, the team will discover that the greatest form of influence is not through a specific service project or one point in a conversation...It's through presence and building relationships.
New Mexico | Spring Break 2012
This trip is designed to introduce middle school students to missions, challenging them to experience their faith outside of traditional American settings, while remaining safely in country. This trip focuses on serving the families in poverty-stricken areas of the Navajo Indian Reservation. The trip begins with a day of team building activities, then 4 days of work related and outreach projects, and ends with a day to debrief the trip.

Los Angeles | Summer 2012
Los Angeles is home to some of the worst poverty and social disorder in the USA. Students will be exposed to great opportunities and challenges, working with children and adults who are being overlooked by the rest of society, offering the hope and love of Christ. Our team will partner with The L.A. Dream Center to serve through their current initiatives that help the poor, homeless and broken in L.A.

This trip is for students who have demonstrated a heart-level engagement with the 3rd Project, and have prior missions experience. It is an incredible opportunity to work with the poorest of the poor on the other side of the world, at our sponsored carepoint in the southern region of Swaziland.
This trip includes working with children, the poor, the homeless, and others, all through local churches and ministries partnering with Children's HopeChest.
