To Write Love On Her Arms Posted 05/25 by Bekah Shirin
Starting Sunday May 25, 2008 at 6:00 am to Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 9:00 pm, people across the globe will be joining the fight against suicide/cutting/etc by writing the word love (in any language) on their forearms. "We are only asked to love, to offer hope to the many hopeless. We don't get to choose all the endings, but we are asked to play the rescuers. We won't solve all the mysteries and our hearts will certainly break in such a vunerable life, but it is the best way. We were made to be lovers bold in broken places, pouring ourselves out again and again until we're called home." So by posting this, I would hope to raise your awareness and participate in this week long demonstration. You can use sharpies, pens, markers, etc to write Love on your left arm or hand. Feel free to check out www.twloha.com so you can be prepared to answer why you have love written on your arm and to share Renee's story. If you have some TWLOHA clothing, wear it during this time. =) Rescue is possible. Stop the bleeding. Love is the movement.

I've been sick since Sunday, w/ a really sore throat, barely being able to breathe or swallow, and my voice was almost gone, and today I thought I was getting better, but as it turns out, I've only gotten worse, I can't talk at all now, so if you all will be praying for me to get better, I'd really appreciate it. thanks. -Kaitlyn

I just watched the latest news report on the New Life Church shooting. When they showed the faces of the girls who were killed, I realized. I knew the 16 year old, Rachael Works. I didn't realize this until now......This whole situation had already hit me hard, and now I cannot even think of the words to say how I'm feeling now. Hey, My family and I have a friend who helps @ w/ my riding instructor's horses who's very, very, sick right now. Cindy has a extremely rare form of Cancer, so rare that it barely exists. She has a less than 5% chance of survival. As a result she's heading to TX, to go to the only medical center in the USA that has knowledge on this type of Cancer. She has a teenage daughter in 12th grade, and is divorced. All of us who know Cindy are very worried and are hoping that she's part of the 5% that survive, unfortunately, her chance of survival's not looking very good right now. Please be praying for her. I think we should all pray for the men and women who lost their house in the California fires. We also need to pray for the firefights who just keep putting their own lives at risk to save others. Lets pray the get a day of rest soon. Lets honor al those who are willing to give up their life for anothers. God bless them all.

Hey My uncle and Aunt have a 6 year old girl Naomi, she is a mirical child. They have tried for years to have another baby but they could not get pregnant. They where considerind adoption when they met a 20 year old girl Heather. Her Husband had a 5 year old son before he married Heather, together they had a little boy who is currently 15 months old, she became pregnant again but this time with twins. Her husbsand went to jail a few months ago. (I don't know why he is in jail but he is) She was pregnant and had 2 other kids...she did not know what to do so she went into a birth-mother adoption and she said she would put them up for adoption...My uncle and aunt wanted the babys so they met heather and they signed the papers...they where the ONLY ones who wanted the babies! My Uncle is a police offecer in Ventura CA. HE got to go tho the prison and see the birth dad...he liked the name that they chose...Seth And Luke! Heather went into labor this morning and she had Luke around 10 AM...Seth did not want to come out sop he turned around...he was breach...they rushed her to an Emergancy C-section...before they operated they tried to turn him...he turned so then around 10:30 she had Seth...She had an epadural but it did not work! Seth is 6lb and 19" Luke is 4 lb 10 oz and 17" IF you add the weight together you get 10 lb 19 oz...that is how much my cousen Naomi weight! Hether is having a ruff time...she does not want anything to do with the babys...so pray that she will get used to it. Luke has to stay there for another week of 2 but Seth can go home in a few days! Please Pray that Seth and Luke will grow up to be Godly men! :) Thanks, Bekah

My friend's mom in Greeley,CO, got in a car wreck on her way back to my friends house yesterday. And she was going to find a place to bury my friend's(her daughter) dog who died and a truck that was going ~90mph hit her, and she was able to spin her car so he hit the passenger side door, but if he would havehit the drivers side...she would be dead...Her mom says that she's only shaken up, but still.. Please be praying for her.

Hey everyone, I just heard about the Virgina Tec. Shooting on Q102.7.So I want to really pray for the familys that wher affectied. 33 students and teacheres died. One Perfesor died after he held the door shut to keep the guy with the gun out while his students got out of the window. ~Thanks

Hey, I was talking to one of my friends during school today, and he asked me how my spring break was and i said it was good, so i asked him how his was. He told me that he got wasted and drunk and smoked stuff over the two week break we had. So i asked him if he was joking, and he said, no and asked me if i had ever done the stuff he did, and i was like "no! why would i?" and he said i was insane.He also said that if i ever went over to his house he would introduce me to all the things i've been "missing". I'm scared, and i know i'm not EVER going to his house but still....I'm scared for him and myself He's a Christian supposedly, and he's a Senior in High School, and I'm a sophomore. I'm really worried about him considering he was driving drunk on sunday, and his dad and uncle were in the car with him and they didn't care that he was drunk, doing drugs, and being illegal. Not to mention I'm not sure what to do. Would you guys please pray that he would figure things out, and that i might know the right words to say next time i talk to him. please.

Hi, I'm Begging that u all pray for my friend, Kendra. I just finished reading a post of hers. She as of 7:39pm tonight, was just finishing up writing a letter to her mom, and had a bottle of pills and a bottle of water in her lap, and was just about to end her life. I haven't heard back from her, as i have sent her an email, and I am VERY WORRIED about her. I can't go visit her as she lives in Canada. She's 13. PLEASE PRAY FOR HER, And for ME as i am worried sick about her, and I don't know if she's still here(alive) or not. Kendra has talked about this alot latley and i fear for her life. PLEASE PRAY FOR HER. PLEASE!!

  10/29/2006 Well prayers do rescue people... She just told me this.. Please keep praying that she gets even better.. But i do have great news, She said that she would never, ever try to attempt suicide again.And she said i was a now a very good friend of hers. " On thursday night i took the pills..And i shouldn't be here right now...But i am..And so last night i just didn't want to be here anymore...and i just couldn;t take it...Soo.. i posted something...And then i went on THL...Just cuz i knew kaycee would be on ...and i told her thanx....and that i probably wouldn't be on the Z anymore...(as in id be dead)....And soo she said that i should tlak to her..SOo i said ok..But only for a little while....And so i did..and while she was distracting me...She called the police...and gave them my adress..and told them...and soo @ 1:30 the doorbell rings ...and there he is ...A Cop....So i open the door...He wanted to talk for a minute...to make shure i haadn't taken anything yet....And soo ( i guess my dad came up to see my mom that night and they went out..Because while i was tlkaing to the Cop..My mom and dad walk in...And soo the cop leaves..Andi have to explain stuff to them..I didn;t tell them a lot..Just the main things....And that basically it...I feel sick right now....really sick...and i dunno....But yea...Thats basically my night... I'm kind of in a tough spot right now, i amnot enjoying life like i should, i am really wanting to SI alot more now, than i have i a while, since my mom and haven't been getting along real well, and i just need some directions as of where to turn, and i'm kind of nervous about this wednesday, 'cause it's my 16th birthday, and I'm kind of afraid as what i would do, if my mom and i got into a fight the night before my birthday, or on my birthday, considering i've felt kind of suicidal latley...*unsure*

My dad fell about 10 feet on Thursday and shattered his heel. He'll have to go through a surgery that the doctors said usually doesn't go well because of infection. If it does become infected, his foot will have to be amputated, and if all goes well, he'll have a limp for the rest of his life and the pain in his heel will never go away. My whole family's taking this really hard, especially my dad. Please, please pray.

Please pray for me and my friend just call him S. He and i were talking and he was in a gang fight a couple weeks ago he got is throte cut and in self-defence hi killed the other guy!!!!! I cant deal with this at all its too hard. Now the police are helping him because they know that it was self-defence but he is running from a person who was hired to kill him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys!! I hope your summer is totally AWESOME so far! Could you please keep me in your prayers? I was in an accident on June 3rd. I was hit by a drunk driver. I'm ok, I do have a headache and my neck hurts a little, but I'm here. :-) My car is totalled though and the other guy didn't have insurance and his license had been revoked. Praise God that my insurance company said they'd take care of everything!! Please pray for the driver of the other car that he may find Jesus so that he won't hurt somebody else!!

Hey, Yesterday my grandma got in a car crash. She broke all of her ribs, puntured a lung, and broke an ankle. Oh, don't forget the two chest tube in her side to help her breath. If you could just pray for her to heal nicely that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

I just found out that one of my friends at school is anorexic. She's gone to the counsuler at school, talked to her parents, etc. and she still thinks being anorexic is ok. Please pray for her to realize what she's doing and to realize that it is wrong and could make her really sick. Thank you for your prayers!

Hello, my grandpa is blind now because of high blood pressure. Please pray for him and my grandma, she is still healing from her appendix rupturing in December so pray that they can get around well and that God will be with them when times are tough. Lastnight I noticed my cat was drooling excessivly. And today it's really bad. It's coming out of her mouth constantly and it's gel-like, then the skin around her eye is irrateted and red.   05/13/2005 Yay!! God healed my cat Angel! We did not need to go to the vet or talk to them because that morning she was all better. She wasn't drooling anymore and her eye's were just fine. Thanx for your prayers! Please continue to pray for my grandparents. You guys are awesome!

My friend at school cuts her amr and started to cut her legs. She says she does it because her mom abuses her. I have been asking her to stop and telling her that's not right but it doesn't seem to go through. Pray that she will stop and find comfort in God's hand.

My mom found out she had to get a root canal. They messed it up and hit the wrong thing or something and she has to go back next week. She is in ALOT of pain! It is making me cry. Thanks for your prayer!

my friend's aunt, who he is VERY close to (their whole family is), just found out that she has cancer. they're going to start her on chemo, but the cancer's already advanced, and they dont know if it will do anything to help.

I have a track meet tomorrow (Saturday the 16th) and I'm feeling really sick. I've committed to it, though, and I'm going to go... I just don't know if I can run all my events without passing out or pulling something again. I invited a few people to the concert, please pray that their hearts are open that night. I've already been rejected from 2 schools, but it's totally ok because I know that it's not God's will to go there. I'm not sure if a friend of mine is a Christian. I'd like to help her out but the thing is that she's not exactly open to God coming into her life. Religion's been shoved down her throat, I think, a bit too much. I've been praying for a while but He doesn't seem to be giving me any openings to talk about Jesus. Spring break is great. But sometimes we can loose momentum when everyone is gone for a week. God was doing great things before spring break--especially at winter camp. Pray that God would continue to work in students' lives and they SouledOut would be used by God to transform hearts.

one of my friends @ school has problems w/ self-injury, she keeps tearing off her fingernails, and scrathing herself w/ pencils, and i think she tried to burn her hand too. I told the principal, and now her and her friend both hate me for it, and she's saying that if the principal tells her parents and she has to go to therapy, then she'll kill herself, and knowing her, she's serious. so please pray for her, she really needs it.

my dad has been suffering for some time now with possibly ulcers. but i was talking to my mom yesterday (who is a nurse) and she thinks that it might be colon cancer cause he has all of the symptons. please pray that the doctors will find whats wrong and that he can heal. and there's this house across the street that is for rent, and i really want some teenage girls my age to move there...cause i live on a street with elders and its no fun.
